Usually I make a slow transition from the bed to standing in the mornings. I kick one foot outside of the covers and then slowly ease the comforter off before I move to a sitting position and finally to standing. It just feels better to me that way. However, in the spirit we can spring out of bed ready to “run through troops and leap over walls” [Psalm 18:29] when we are assured of the promises our faithful God has spoken over us!
In Jeremiah 29:11 we find out that God’s plan for our lives is to prosper us, not to harm us and to bring us to an expected end. God has already written the story of your life and has an anticipated conclusion and will do what it takes to guide you on the path to the finish He has designed. If He said it, He will do it.
When we realize that God has formed us with intention and knows us intimately we can rest assured in the vows that He has taken concerning us. One of His promises is never to leave or forsake us. Never means there is no set of circumstances that may arise that can make Him alter his plan. There is no occasion, not one time that He will do it.
We tend to clump leaving and forsaking into one category; but they are vastly different. When someone leaves it means they are gone from your presence. We leave people daily to go to work, school, the spa, etc. But forsaking is another level. It means to abandon, to neglect or discard of. Many of us have been in both categories at one time in our lives, but we do not ever have to be concerned with this with our Father God.
The promise over our lives is that He will not leave us or disregard us. We have a present help always! You can go and be great when you are aware that “His promises are Yes and Amen.” 2 Corinthians 1:20
