Acts 16:25 (KJV) “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.”
Although this Bible verse has been preached, published and proclaimed over and over again, it is questionable how often it is actually put into practice.
It is more typical to cry, plead, complain and become increasingly perplexed in the dark places of life.
But, Paul and Silas show us how to bring change into our midnight that brings hope and rescue for ourselves and others.
The day leading up to their midnight experience was challenging. They were doing the work of the Lord and freed a young girl from oppression which lead to her oppressors aggression! They were upset that they could no longer exploit her and stirred up the authorities. The result was Paul & Silas being beat and thrown in the deepest, darkest part of the prison.
Leading up to your midnight you may feel beaten in your mind, will and emotions! You may have experienced injustice, false accusations or rejection. If so, there is a proven pattern to follow that will bring you to a place of freedom!
Prayer & Praise are a dynamic combination! They are capable of creating a new outlook, lifting the spirit and birthing total transformation individually, but together they are earthmoving!
When the earth quakes, the foundations of things holding you back, down and in are shifted causing barriers and blockages to cease from being effective!
When you pray and praise you should also prepare! What are you preparing for? Your exit! Get ready to walk out of the doors of your confinement.
Do not let gloom and dark of night keep you from using the powerful arsenal of prayer and praise! Get up and lift your voice and Get ready to Get Out!
